- (1) Equal Rights. The Wesleyan Church upholds the right of all individuals to equal opportunity politically, economically, and religiously, and pledges itself to an active effort to bring about the possession of dignity and happiness by all people everywhere (cf. 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:220; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:265:11–13; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:360:3d).
